Foremost airline operator, Arik Air, recently launched its flights from Lagos to Dubai through Abuja. This was done in a colourful way. Passengers could not hide their feelings as they hailed the airline for finally giving them hopes of expanded tourism and business growth to Dubai.
The event took place on Monday, July 28, 2014 and guests on board the inaugural flight included passengers, Arik Air management and members of the media.
Diginitaries present at the departure, which took place at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, included the Group CEO of Arik Air, Michael Arumemi-Ikhide; DG, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, Mrs Sally Mbanefo; MD, SAHCOL, Olu Owolabi, and representative of MD, NAMA.
All guests on the board the flight were given special commemorative gifts, while journalists on board were given five star treatment in Dubai, including visits to desert safari and boat cruise by Arik Air’s General Sales Agent (GSA) in Dubai, Dadabhai Travel.
