Few days after a military jet forcefully went down in Yola, Adamawa State, another helicopter belonging to the military has crashed-landed in the same city.
On Monday, a small plane believed to belong to the Nigerian Air Force on surveillance crashed in Damare in Girei local government area of the state. It was conveying military hardware when the incident happened.
The latest crash, we learnt, occurred on Thursday night around Modibbo Adama University of Technology, MAUTECH, in Girei. The area of the second crash is not too far from the first one, we gathered.
Casualty figures could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report. Also, the military is yet to release an official statement on the incident. It is not sure if the jet was brought down by an enemy or the actual cause of the crash.
