Barely a year after popular media guru and showbiz personality, Dayo Adeneye, fondly called D1, established a hotel in Ikorodu, a suburb of Lagos, tragedy has struck in the hospitality abode.
Reports making the rounds have it that a teenager died at the hotel’s swimming pool on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
Aproko247 gathered from reports that the yet to be identified teenage boy was found dead in the swimming pool of DC Bar & Suites, owned by D1, and located at 19-23 Oke-Owo Street, Irawo, off Ikorodu Road, Lagos.
The incident has caused panic in the area, we learnt.
According to reports, corpse of the deceased was taken away “in a grey coloured SUV around 8am in the presence of policemen from Owode-Ajegunle post.”
Reports further said the Police’s spokesman in Lagos State, Keneth Nwosu, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, has confirmed the incident, but said investigations were still on-going and that statements were being obtained from eyewitnesses and the hotel manager.
