A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has nullified the election of Christian Abah into the House of Representatives. Abah contested in the election to represent the people Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in Benue State.
The court took the decision on Wednesday after it looked into the suit filed by one Hassan Saleh, challenging the eligibility of lawmaker-elect to stand for the poll over allegation of certificate forgery.
It was found out by Justice Adeniyi Ademola that Abah had presented a fake National Diploma certificate in Accountancy from the Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa, obtained in 1985, to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Justice Ademola order the electoral body to revoke the certificate of return it earlier presented to Abah.
