President Muhammadu Buhari and the 36 state governors of the federation held an emergency meeting on Tuesday morning at the Presidential Villa.
All the 36 governors but one were present at the crucial meeting with the President. The Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, who did not attend the meeting, sent his deputy, Admiral John Jonah, to stand in for him.
The gathering kicked-off by 10am and the major agenda to discuss is the bail out being agitated for by some states due to dwindling allocation from the centre to the states.
Because of this, some states of the federation have not been able to pay salaries of workers.
Details later.
