A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has debunked reports that she owes Diamond Bank Plc the sum of N122 million as claimed by a newspaper report on Tuesday.
In her response on Twitter on Tuesday to the reports, the former member of the House of Representatives said she must have been a victim of mistaken identity.
Abike stressed that she owes no one, pointing out that she will write the Central Bank of Nigeria and Diamond Bank to “set the records straight.”
She expressed shock to have seen her pictures in the newspaper front page that she is one of the debtors.
It was claimed that a company the veteran broadcaster is part of its directors, Thriller Eneavours, owes Diamond Bank N122 million.
But Abike said she does not even know the company.
“As to detractors, you can’t get me, will remain my calm, honest self, Shame on you. Never even heard the name of the company. Will get to the bottom of this,” she said.
