The Nigerian authorities have confirmed that 44 persons have died in the twin bomb attack that rocked the city of Jos on Sunday night.
Suspected members of the Islamic sect called Boko Haram attacked a mosque and a restaurant in Jos, the Plateau State capital, which left scores of people dead.
The terrorists bombed a mosque on Dilimi Street and a restaurant close to a motor park along Bauchi Road in Jos North Local Government area.
However, no one has claimed responsibility, but many believe members of Boko Haram must have carried out the attacks.
According to the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, 23 were killed at the restaurant, while 21 at the mosque.
