Some drugs were given out on Saturday to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in Adamawa by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC.
Director-General of the agency, Paul Orhii, during the presentation at the Malkohi camp, said NAFDAC made this gesture because of its concern to the plight of the people.
Orhii disclosed that his agency was in partnership with the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to ensure that drugs and food brought for IDPs consumption met the required standard.
The DG, who was represented by the Director Special Duties of the NAFDAC, Dr Abubakar Jimoh, stressed that the drugs were sourced in partnership with Association of Pharmaceuticals.
He said, “We are also in partnership with the Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, who is also committed to ameliorating the plight of the IDPs.”
