Spokesman of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, Opunabo Inko Tariah, has reportedly withdrawn his duties for his principal.
Reports reaching us from Port Harcourt, the state capital, disclosed that Tariah, who worked with the governor as his Media and Publicity adviser, reportedly claimed his boss did not heed to some professional advice given to him.
Also, it was stated that Tariah took the decision to resign his appointment because enough money was not allocated to his office except for publications and advertorials.
Lately, Tariah and Wike have differed on issues bothering the state, especially on the allegation of bias by the judiciary. Shortly after the statement was made, the governor distanced himself from the comments, stressing that he has a firm belief on the judiciary.
Tariah thanked the governor and the people of Rivers State for the rare opportunity to serve in his own capacity.
