The Department of State Service, DSS, has been directed to produce the detained Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu in court next week.
Kanu has been in the custody of Nigeria’s secret police and was not taken to court when his matter was to be heard.
But a Magistrate Court 1 sitting in Abuja ordered the DSS to make sure the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is made available in court on Monday, November 23, 2015.
Kanu was arrested in Lagos some weeks ago following his alleged hate speeches against Nigeria. Calls by his members for his release have not yielded any meaningful results, despite mass protests staged in mostly the eastern part of the country for his freedom.
